Magnetotherapy

The therapeutic effect of magnets has been known since ancient times. About 5000 years ago in China, it was the Chinese who invented the compass – the magnet’s ability to point north.

Also in ancient China, the beneficial effects of magnets on various ailments have been observed. With almost no contraindications and with visible effects within a few hours of application to the body, magnets have been a highly prized remedy in the past, especially in the Orient.

The action of magnets

Studies have shown that the effect of the action of magnets is visible after about 2 hours after application in the problem area. It is also important to note that, following correct application and use, the use of magnets has no limitations.
Here a clear distinction must be made between traditional magnets and the electronic equipment available on the market that generates a magnetic field with certain characteristics. In the following we will only pay attention to classical magnets. The magnetic field generated by magnets has a stimulating effect on the cells, oxygen exchange and absorption of nutrients from food and liquids being greatly increased.

It was also found a better and more complete elimination of toxins from the body when using magnets.
Magnets are applied on the body, on areas with problems or pain. They act in depth, improving, restoring or optimizing the functioning of organs and tissues. Without having a visible effect (the magnetic field is invisible), there is a reduction or disappearance of pain or, in other cases, a healing of diseased organs.
One area where magnets are used very successfully is in sports: placing them on an affected, swollen area, or over a sprain or broken bone has the effect of relieving pain and healing much faster.

The main conditions in which magnets are successfully used are:

  • headaches, migraines
  • joint pain
  • menstrual pain
  • sports accidents, fractures
  • insomnia
  • problems with blood circulation
  • problems with digestion/ loss of appetite
  • stress, fatigue, overwork, mental and physical demands

Types of magnets

Traditional magnet therapy, magnetotherapy, is based on the use of permanent magnets, which do not require electricity to produce the magnetic field. Although technology has advanced and these magnets are produced today in many different forms and strengths, the basic idea has remained the same – no electric current is used to generate the magnetic field.

The following categories of people should not use magnets at all or only partially:

  • pregnant women
  • people with heart surgery (peacemaker)
  • people who use hearing aids
  • people who use metal prostheses following surgery
